Rivertown Boutique
The Beginning
Rivertown Boutique was conceived in 2003 during an ECFE class. A group of Moms were participating in a parent discussion meeting and during introductions realized we each had home-based business careers that we were pursuing in order to assist financially so we could stay at home with our children. After this discovery, we thought we could help promote each other's businesses by joining together to do an event. It took about a year for me to "take the bull by the horns" along with a lot of help and encouragement from others to put together our first event. We were fortunate to have, and make some new friends that were crafters and asked them to join us. We have had several successful events and try to add or mix vendors for each of the spring and holiday events. Our spring event is generally held the first Saturday in April and our holiday event the first Saturday in December. We enjoy bringing our products and services to the community. We feature a local non-profit at each event to distribute their educational materials and promote their organization.
