The Beginning
Rivertown Boutique was conceived 5 years ago during an ECFE class. A group of moms were at a parent discussion meeting and during introductions realized we each had home-based business careers that we were pursuing besides enjoying being able to stay at home with our children. After this discovery, we thought we could help promote each other's businesses by joining together to do an event. It took about a year for me to "take the bull by the horns" along with alot of help from others and put together our first event. We were fortunate to have, and make some new friends, that were crafters and asked them to join us. We have had several successful events and try to add or mix vendors for each of the spring and holiday events. Our spring event is generally held the first Saturday in April and our holiday event the first Saturday in November. We enjoy bringing our products and services to the community. We feature a local non-profit at each event to distribute their educational materials and promote their organization.
